I have been trying a couple of things and here are the results: Uninstalled gthumb (version 2.10.10) and then re-installed it. This did not make a difference.
I renamed the .comments directory, then opened gthumb. Obviously no comments were present. When I click a photo, it creates a comment file and puts in the date/time stamp from the EXIF data. So, the issue seems to be more: whenever I click a photo the comment file gets overwritten with a new comment file containing the date/time stamp from the EXIF data. I had a look to see if there was some sort of debug logging I could turn on, but was unable to find this option. Does something like this exist? Does gthumb do any logging anywhere? -- gthumb loses comments on my photos https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/336066 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
