Public bug reported:
After clean installation of Ubuntu 6.10
-Select Applications->Add/Remove...
-select all possible applications from the list (some of the applications can
not be selected because of conflicts)
-press OK/Apply
-> installation fails to an error: Could not apply changes! Fix broken packages
first.
After this Add/Remove applications is shutdown
