Public bug reported: Binary package hint: firefox
Ubuntu 8.10; Ubuntu Jaunty alpha 6 1. In a new profile, launch Firefox. 2. In the Ubuntu Start page, enter a search. 3. On the search results page, click the Home button. 4. Try to return to the search results by clicking the Back button. What should happen: 1. The Back button should not be clickable. 4. You should end up back at the search results. What actually happens: 1. The Back button is clickable even though you haven't been anywhere yet. It causes the window to flicker. 4. The window flickers a bit, but leaves you on the Ubuntu Start Page. This is because the home page is set to <chrome://ubufox/content/startpage.html>, which uses JavaScript to redirect to <http://start.ubuntu.com/8.10/>, and is therefore treated by Firefox as a separate page from the start.ubuntu.com page. ** Affects: firefox (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Ubuntu Start Page breaks the Back button https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/344409 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
