I can't make it work even with Sergei Ivanov's patched version. Im running Ubuntu 8.10 and have set BOOTLOGD_ENABLE=Yes in /etc/default/bootlogd ... this is a big issue, at least for me... I see boot scripts failing but can't find out which ones or why...
