FWIW, the 2.6.1 package now appears to FTBFS against current jaunty (QUIRK_BROKEN_ACPI_LID?), so I've built 2.6.3 instead using the old toolchain and will test it out this evening once I stop needing X to be in working shape to allow me to write email.
