Not only is there no ability to import a saved OFX file on the file menu, but other ways of importing OFX fail as well.
If you right click an account and select "Online Update using OFX" posts an undefined error message. Just before posting error message user will see two windows opening showing download status. If you attempt to setup Konqueror with file associations as discussed in KMyMoney help and download an OFX statement from the financial institution, KMyMoney loads but then emits an error message stating that the file type is unrecognized.
