Public bug reported: I've noticed for several minor Firefox version upgrades that the "what's new" page that comes up on first launching the upgraded browser is incorrect. For example, I recently upgraded to 3.0.7 (Intrepid), and when I ran Firefox for the first time, the page http://www.mozilla.org/projects/firefox/3.0.7/whatsnew/ was opened in a tab (along with another tab for my normal home page). That URL returns a 404 error.
It is likely that the "what's new" URL should be http://www.mozilla.com /en-US/firefox/3.0.7/whatsnew/ (at least for my locale). I have no idea how this is controlled. It's possible I have something misconfigured on my system. I looked around (Google and searched LP bugs), but didn't see any other mention of a problem like this. It certainly isn't a big problem, just a minor annoyance. ** Affects: firefox-3.0 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Upgrade "whatsnew" page is invalid https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/345347 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
