Binary package hint: kdebase-plasma

Hi!
I am running Kubuntu 8.10 alpha (fully updated as at now). I have been running
it for a fortnight now, with a surprisingly small number of deal-breaker
issues. I noticed since a few days ago, after a routine update, that the system
tray is now corrupted.

For example, in the screnshot I have attached, the two smudged icons
should actually represent running instances of Quassel IRC. I cannot
remember the day when this behavior first showed up. I have a Gateway
laptop with an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2600 graphics card. I am running
64 bit software. My xorg.conf file is completely blank, presumably
running on xserver-xorg-video-ati. My KDE4 desktop is mostly in the
default configuration.

I will be happy to supply any additional information that is needed.

Best regards,
Daniel Nyaga
