Public bug reported: TSC going back for the VMI clocksource bug exists for all the hardy/intrepid and jaunty tree.
The patch which fixes this TSC going back issue for vmi clocksource is already applied in mainline and stable kernels for 2.6.27/28, so I guess intrepid and jaunty will get it from there. I just wanted to bring this to your attention for the *hardy* tree, for which you explicitly will have to pick this up. The commit details are : commit 48ffc70b675aa7798a52a2e92e20f6cce9140b3d Author: Alok N Kataria <[email protected]> Date: Wed Feb 18 12:33:55 2009 -0800 x86, vmi: TSC going backwards check in vmi clocksource Can you please pick this up for the hardy tree ? Also I see that the TSC patches that I had sent to you earlier are in the hardy git tree, but not available as an kernel update yet, right ? In that case can we please queue this patch too for the next update along with the TSC patches. ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- [x86, VMI]TSC going back for VMI clocksource. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/345553 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
