Public bug reported:
When I boot ubuntu linux 8.10 on my acer aspire on with SSD sometimes
the wrong appearance preference is chosen. The first one in the
appearance list is chosen, but I use the default ubuntu human theme.
If I select the menu item preferences/appearance and the wrong theme has
been selected (during start up) gnome is restarted. This bug has never
happened on my stationary computer. Maybe this bug is related to it is a
slower computer with a slower hard disk and loading appearance times
out.
The bug doesn't happen on every start up, but maybe 50%.
