You have been subscribed to a public bug:
After clicking "Shut Down", after all windows and task bars have been
removed from the screen, I usually close the laptop lid. However, I have
set my computer to hibernate when the lid is closed. The result is that
Ubuntu stops shutting down and starts hibernating, which it does
successfully. Next time I boot my computer, I have to boot TWICE to get
to a usable desktop - once to wake up from hibernate, at which point the
shutdown is completed, and then again to boot up into a new session.
Expected behavior is that, during shutdown, the laptop will ignore the
signal to hibernate and just continue shutting down when the laptop lid
is closed.
I am using Ubuntu 8.10 (Intrepid), although this bug might exist in
earlier releases. Hardware is Thinkpad Z61t.
** Affects: kdebase-workspace (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: Fix Released
