Now that I think about it... Because Ubuntu is tring to be the OS for us retarded people... ;) Wouldn't it be better if the message didn't make it seem so dire? Maybe something like... "While installing, we noticed that Java is not installed. To take full advantage of certain features with in Open Office please install the package openoffice.org-java- common. If it is already installed then try removing ~/.openoffice.org/3/user/config/javasettings_Linux_*.xml to remove this message in the future."
Or something like that... Maybe a big stop sign that says "JAVA IS NOT INSTALLED AND THATS OK... DON'T SEND ME ANYMORE BUG REPORTS, JUST INSTALL THE DAMN PACKAGE!" This way others don't think something is broken and file other reports just like I did. lol -- openoffice.org-emailmerge expects openoffice.org-java-common https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/344074 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
