Thanks Philip, mostly reassuring to see that this workaround did not worked, it would have been a strange one. http://blog.avirtualhome.com/2008/11/21/cant-print-in-evince-gedit-claws-mail/#comment-2017 say that replacing username by a real username on your system, and password by it's real password, avoid to have cups constantly re-add that line in printers.conf.
