I have the same chipset: 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation 82865G Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 02) Just tried booting with the jaunty alpha6 live cd. It could not start X. Attached xorg.log from the live cd. (Choosing failsafe did start X in vesa mode)
