Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xsane

I am using Ubuntu Jaunty with a Canon MP830 scanner. In xsane, I select
Automatic Document Feeder and put in 5 pages into the document feeder.

When I hit the Scan button, all five pages are scanned right away, and
then the scanner groans and groans, waiting for more pages. The only way
to stop it is to hit the scanner's cancel button.

Placing a single page is no better. The page is scanned, and then the
scanner groans and groans, waiting for more pages. The only way to stop
it is to hit the scanner's cancel button.

This renders the ADF feature completely useless. I had no problem using
the ADF on this printer with prior versions of Ubuntu.

Scanning with Flatbed works normally.

** Affects: xsane (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
