I was pushed to post this followup because in a local LUG mailing list someone posted about another kind of ATI card becoming useless with a new coming version of Ubuntu: this seems to be a repeating pattern.
In my case it was a computer that needs to be used for production. I could not upgrade to a new version of Ubuntu because it took me ages to hack together a downgrade of only X to make that computer usable again. When it became important to upgrade Ubuntu to a newer version, I just went and bought a new video card. That machine was not for testing, so no testing could be done. The fact that I could not make tests for you on that machine does not mean that Ubuntu works on an ATI Radeon IGP 320 M. Seeing this bug closed made me disappointed and demotivated with further reporting bugs to Launchpad. I would expect this bug to be closed if someone steps in and says "I have an IGP 320 M and it works for me": the driver does not start working by itself if someone does not do your tests within 6 weeks. But anyway, it's your distribution, do what you want with it. -- Monitor received "no signal" after upgrading to Hardy's Xorg [ATI Radeon IGP 320 M] https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/227920 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
