I finally found out what was causing the crash, i have mixed in debian
packages to get the latest and greatest apps, this is obviously not a
good idea :-p

I found under /usr/local/lib
 pygtk
 python2.4
 python2.5
which was debris from a earlier debian package update, and apparently
when upgrading to
edgy these were not cleared out.

The ubuntu eqvivalent is found under /usr/lib was not loaded first? so
when importing from python the older version of pygtk was used...gaah, anyways
it is working now.

Cheers
/Nicklas
