Binary package hint: f-spot
This is using f-spot 0.5.0.3-1ubuntu4 in jaunty (although the same
symptoms were evident in interpid as well).
When switching into the "Slideshow" view, the screen flickers for a few
seconds before starting the slideshow. It's flickering between the first
photo in the slideshow the f-spot window from what I can tell.
