It seems that this was fixed in
ltsp (5.1.64-0ubuntu8) jaunty; urgency=low
* Fix *ubuntu-usplash-theme installation breaking ltsp-build-client when
creating an edubuntu LTSP chroot.
(Fix in .diff.gz, freeze exception filed to get it from upstream)

The other two fixes in the recent debdiffs (.pot typo and upstream URL
fix) look ok, but aren't critical for beta. Please get them uploaded to
the queue, then we can decide whether it can still slip in.
