** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: gnome-panel

Often my panel (set to autohide) does not autohide when the pointer has
moved away. This maybe because I'm using an app which opens a dialog
window when launched and it's confusing gnome-panel.

The panel will auto-hide when I move the pointer over and then off of
the panel, but doing this so often is fairly anoying.

Would it be possible to auto-hide if the mouse is not within the bounds
of the panel and not just on some pointer exit event?

  Cheers,

  Tim
