I didn't check your xorg.conf line by line, but the default one is an
almost empty one.
This is a difficult problem, especially since the 2-3 first resumes work
fine. However, if X is crashing and restarting, there should be some
information in Xorg.0.log.old afterwards or in /var/log/gdm/
