Same problem here since Alpha 6, my modem is huawey E172. Network-manager duplicates the configuration wizard and the connections are also displayed in duplicate, also the name of the connection is very long. You can see that in the attached pic. Sometimes I have to reconfigure all again so that I can have a working connection. I remember it happened once in the beginning of Intrepid but it was solved. Ask for anything that you need to help.
