Public bug reported:

In intrepid
I use localapps with the help from 'UbuntuLTSP GetMoreFromLocalApps` see
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/UbuntuLTSP/GetMoreFromLocalApps
the big point is
......
access file located in other server directories, like /home (instead of
/home/logged_in_user)
.......
So I created a /home/wine folder with windows-software, which is suported by
wine and made a group named pcs.
Every user = every client is a autologgin-machine named pc01,pc02,pc03 - is a
member of the group pcs. The owner-group of /home/wine is pcs, too. Also I use
a prefence user, which preferences are copied to the users pc01,pc02,pc03
.....and then the permssion-rights are adapted. (sabayon doesn't work, so I
found this way)
So every user can enter /home/wine.
I installed wine as a localapp. So every user can start a windows-programm in
/home/wine which would be called by the localapp wine.

But in jaunty
a client user could only enter his /home/logged_in_user with a localapp. So
if I want to use a windows-programm for my students, I have to install it to
every /home folder

** Affects: ltsp (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
