Aaron, thanks for that information. I've just had a look at the lspci -vvnn output originally attached and the product documentation for the Silicon Image SIL5723:
http://www.siliconimage.com/PRODUCTS/product.aspx?pid=103 and can't see it in the lspci output. From the product documentation it seems as if the SIL5723 acts as a client device behind a SATA controller, allowing multiple other devices to appear as one single SATA device. This is probably something the Linux kernel needs to know how to detect because it is a proprietary SATA extension that would prove almost impossible to detect unless you already know about this device. ** Tags removed: test-suspend-seconds ** Summary changed: - [System manufacturer Maximus II Formula] suspend/resume failure [non-free: nvidia] + SIL5723 Storage Processor causes SATA delays -- SIL5723 Storage Processor causes SATA delays https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/340692 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
