I've seen this bug with seb128 today. The screen shortly "blinks" as the
notification is displayed, ie the whole screen where the video is
displayed shortly turns back to the normal desktop, and then the video
reappears. It is barely noticeable and lasts less than a few frames
(vblank?) but it feels a bit jerky.
It's bad, because we choose to display brightness/volume notifications
even when a fullscreen window is present, exactly for cases like
watching a movie.
