Public bug reported: Binary package hint: network-manager
First of, part of this bug relates to, and some parts might be fixed along with these. https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager/+bug/342775 https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager/+bug/290177 First of, I confirm the first bug, but I got some additional behaviour. When I try to connect one of the modems they sometimes disappear. If I actually get a successful connection it disconnects and the modem disappears. The first behaviour is IF the modem appears first. Although this was mostly fixed by removing the password it still happens once in a while. Regarding bug nr 2, there is additional bad behaviour in Jaunty, since it's impossible to get the modem to show at all in the network manager if it's pincode-protected and I give it the pin-code. Only way to make it work is make it accept the pin, reboot and then try to connect, where I mostly end up with the behaviour above.
