That's unlikely to be a fast-user-switch-applet bug. If you log in to
another VT, then that will start another session with ConsoleKit
regardless of whether it is the same user ID. If you open a gnome-
terminal, this shoud not happen though.
Could you please recreate this situation and then post the output of:
ck-list-sessions
