Hello, this bug is for all ati hybrid cards. To fix it you have to download the newest ati driver from http://ati.amd.com. Then you copy it to a usb stick. Now you can reboot. After restart of the system you should be in a bash. There you must mount the usb stick and run the installer, e.g. ./ati... .run file. Now you have to start the xserver and then you can install ubuntu. After installing ubuntu you have to do the same procedure above. And then ubuntu works.
