I still have this problem .. though I have no idea why anything should have changed. When I try to install 'Adblock' it says "* Software installation is currently disabled. Click Edit Options to Enable it again [Edit Options]" When I click it I get a 0 pixel sized window. When I expand that I get the Preferences Dialog. I have 'warn me when web sites try to install extensions of themes' checked, but 'Exceptions' button shows addons.mozilla.org as an 'allowed site'. That's where I'm trying to download from. If I uncheck the box .. I get the same message. Now, the help says i need Javascript .. and that is turned off. Still I enable it, and reload the page .. and I STILL get the same message. In 'Help' Release notes I get: "Sorry. The page you have requested does not exist. Try one of the following pages with similar names or see the full title index. Existing pages with similar names...." Firefox loads extensions fine on Windows, and the firefox I have on my Breezy box does too. -- John Skaller <skaller at users dot sf dot net> Felix, successor to C++: http://felix.sf.net -- cannot install extensions https://launchpad.net/bugs/50724 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
