Hrm, the other odd thing to note is I see you are running the even newer
2.6.27-11.27 kernel so it seems the new kernel was able to install
successfully.  Does /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.27-7-generic exist?  What if you
remove the linux-image-2.6.27-7-generic package?
