Well spoken Mark. I would'nt lie if I said that this decision was a strange one that actually sounds kind of bad to me. Especially the part being interupted by updates when you work.
However as Matthew says, this behavior was not designed yesterday on the back of a napkin and there is propably a great deal of thinking behind such a bold move.
