The line
xinit -e 'sh -c "xrandr --verbose > xrandr.log" '
does not write a xrandr.log file. I have attached the
/var/log/Xorg.0.log file. The test was done with the 20090321 daily live
cd with boot parameters "live-nosplash text" ("live-nosplash" due to bug
#216666).
