After research [on several Linux platforms], this is probably graphics
card related.
I am running: NVIDIA GeForce 7150M / nForce 630M
w/driver: NVIDIA UNIX x86_64 Kernel Module 177.82 Tue Nov 4 16:50:05 PST
2008.
Problem persists [maybe more FF load and not as much Xorg] after installing
latest FF3.0.8 this morning, along with following [often] suggested changes to
xorg.conf Device section:
Option "AccelMethod" "exa"
Option "UseEvents" "on"
Let me know if you need more info and if it maybe worthwhile testing
with FF 3.1 beta.
