Today I installed Ubuntu 9.04 Beta. The new usplash is still corrupted. When booting from a Live-CD the boot screen looks good, but after installing it's corrupted.
I found a workaround to properly display the boot screen: 1) Change the resolution in /etc/usplash.conf to 1024x768 2) Add vga=791 to the kernel line in /etc/boot/menu.lst 3) sudo update-initramfs -u -k `uname -r` Solution found in the comments of this bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/150930 -- Corrupt splash screen on boot and shutdown since hardy https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/219751 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
