I reinstalled ubuntu 9.04 beta, the device is now working. I believe the problem was cause by the me disabling the wireless interface, i dind't tried that now because i don't feel like reinstalling the system again.
However,i would like to say that i think that the built in drivers don't give me the full speed of the connection and that the signal strenght sometimes drop do 20% although i'm sitting right next to the router.
