Even after purging fglrx, hibernate still does not work. Current Behavior: the screen goes black, the backlight stays on, the system hangs (unresponsive capslock, not responsive to power button, reset by taking battery out). Previous behavior: stack trace displayed on screen [will attach photo], system also hung and could only be restarted by removing then reinserting the battery.
The kernel bug I had alluded to earlier (in retrospect) does not seem to be related to fglrx. Even now, after purging the proprietary driver and rebooting, it is still there. (See attachments: the old one is kerneloops.ktefsh, the new one is kerneloops.91yNny. ) ** Attachment added: "kerneloops.91yNny" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/24476764/kerneloops.91yNny -- Hibernate AND suspend/resume failure on Gateway M-6862 laptop (Non-free kernel module: fglrx, ATI R6xx graphics card) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/350788 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
