Hello, as far as i remember prism cards (like isl3886) should have loaded a firmware into system on which them was run (but i'm not specialist in that matter). There is firmware for that card - softmac (http://prism54.org/newdrivers.html) it's an .arm file, which (i suppose) should be load by hotplug, but there's no hotplug in Ubuntu unfortunately. Could anyone take a closer look into that? I think that problem can be hidden here (but i'm not certain). Sorry for my poor english
