Also affects me. Running the jaunty beta on a dell D630, I have yet to figure out how to get it to print using an Epson stylus CX4800.
I have installed the "foomatic" packages from synaptic as it seems that a few recommended that in the forums. I did what was listed above... when entering "sudo usb_printerid /dev/usb/lp0" I got: GET_DEVICE_ID string: MFG:EPSON;CMD:ESCPL2,BDC,D4,ESCPR1;MDL:Stylus CX4800;CLS:PRINTER;DES:EPSON Stylus CX4800; but I could not figure out what to put for <name of your print queue> in the next command so no go printing it. I attached the ~/error_log ** Attachment added: "error_log" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/24496318/error_log -- Printer (HWModel Name) May Not Be Connected https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/348316 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
