*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 196277 ***
    https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/196277

I know this has been marked as a duplicate of another bug, but that
bug's description doesn't agree with my problem:

If you enable autologin (it is in the settings,
System/Administration/Login window/Security/Enable Automatic Login),
then any settings about your keyboard layout including the shortcut to
switch between layouts do not work on your next reboot.

Whereas this bug's description does:

To reproduce:
- System > Preferences > Keyboard > Layouts > Layout Options
- select any key as the Compose Key
- try typing, the compose key works
- log out and then in again
- the compose key no longer works

I would just like to point out that I still have this problem (in Hardy)
almost a year after the bug was reported, and I'm sure all the others in
this bug also still have the problem.
