the recents comment are not constructive, as said before gvfs mounts the camera so you can use it as normal disk, browse it in nautilus, etc. f-spot which does manage your photo unmount the gvfs mount when required which should be working flawlessly too, if you have specific issue in jaunty describe there some other program might need fixing too
