This is almost certainly one of the consequences of bugs such as bug
340188. We believe we've fixed this class of problem for the beta.
Marcus, if you can still reproduce the same problem with the beta,
please undo the duplicate-marking of this bug and attach /var/log/syslog
and /var/log/partman from the running installer to this bug report.
(Anyone else who believes that they have the same problem should file a
separate bug report.)
