I made a kludge by symbolically linking ("ln -s /usr/lib/cups/backend/hp
/usr/lib64/cups/backend/hp") just to see what cups would do, and at
least I'm back up printing again. I tried printing a large X (300 dpi,
full page) and only the top half came out. So it doesn't look like
hplip 3.9.2 really helped. I just print in plain or bond media; premium
or glossy photo media is where I still have the problem only getting the
top portion printed.
