Public bug reported:

Variety of suspend/resume problems on this machine, but this particular
one involved trying to suspend by closing the lid.  The laptop wouldn't
suspend, and it seems that the wireless driver (iwlagn) crashed.
ifconfig would block uninterruptibly, and rmmod iwlagn would similarly
hang in diskwait.
