Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: nautilus

When a NAS such as FreeNAS is used and ubuntu mounts a drive via a samba
share, Ubuntu mounts and accesses the drive correctly. While activity
is occuring the connection seems to be reliable.

However if after a period of time the user does not use the connection
(say half an hour) Nautilus or via the desktop icon the user is unable
to enter the network drive.

The only way to fix the problem is to drill down from
places>Network>FreeNAS>landrive and then it NAS drive would mount. A
second icon is then added to the desktop.

If however you drill down with places>Network>Windows
Network>WORKGROUP>FreeNAS>landrive the drive will not mount and displays
the message.

" Could not display "smb://freenas/landrive/" "The file is of an unknown
type"

I know there is not issue with the FreeNAS drive as it is serving files
to my xp windows machines just fine. I have two machines with 9.04
installed and both exhibit the same behaviour.
