I asked to test with latest jaunty packages (jaunty is now beta); if you dont have a chance to upgrade or test liveCD, please check whether the NM backports for intrepid provided by network-manager team PPA fix this issue for you; install them by adding http://launchpad.net/~network- manager/+archive to your sources and upgrading.
