Thanks for your bugreport.
What version of ubuntu are you using? When this happend to you, was it a
full upgrade (e.g. 8.10 -> 9.04) or a normal update? We have code in
jaunty (9.04) that should do a free space check. If that does not work
for you, I would be interessted in the details.
