Public bug reported:
In Jaunty xrandr doens't mark the native resolution of my external LCD monitor
as default. Therefore, using the --auto option switches to a non-native mode.
The vide driver is radeon, on an Radeon Mobility X600 board.
Here is the output of xrandr just after X is started:

-----------------
The list of modes for the VGA-0 output lacks the "+" sign that indicates the
default resolution (which is 1680x1050). I also attach the output from xrandr
--verbose as it is after I manually set the mode to 1680x1050. Also attached
are the xorg log and configuration.
Note that this worked fine in 8.10 with the same hardware.
