I can confirm that it is not fixed for this time, I tried both on intrepid and on the beta version on jaunty and have similar behavior than said. the only point I may add something is that the device in cause is (extract from lsusb): Bus 001 Device 006: ID 067b:2506 Prolific Technology, Inc and it casts many logs of 'Mar 31 20:20:44 piti-desktop kernel: [ 4567.637889] sd 6:0:0:0: [sdb] Sense Key : No Sense [current] Mar 31 20:20:44 piti-desktop kernel: [ 4567.637897] sd 6:0:0:0: [sdb] Add. Sense: No additional sense information' ( about 500Mio in 20 minutes, before I found that the /var/log/messages was growing quickly)
