Public bug reported:

Just upgraded to Jaunty beta couple days ago (29th mar) and found that
my syncmaster 151s run by xserver-xorg-video-savage driver (savage S3)
shows the dreaded "video mode not supported" message instead of starting
x. The screen worked fine under hardy so i copied the old xorg.conf
file over hoping that would be the fix. Alas no go. The screen
unfortunately will not even work under vesa or savage S3 with low
resolution set. Please help! I will attach the xrandr.log and
Xorg.0.log files later today.

** Affects: xorg-server (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
