I'm having a different behavior: my connections SOMETIMES work direct via Network Manager, mostly of the times not.
The syslog output for a working and not-working sessions is exactly the same. In both cases it activates the modem, finds the carrier, uses ppp and finally gets a valid IP, this IP can even be tracerouted from another network in both cases, but I can't ping any site, even by IP (not a DNS issue et all). I read in a forum that another card was having the same behavior, the user solved the problem sending a modem-reset AT command, that is AT&F in 5530 (instead of the usual ATZ). Does anyone think the same trick can work here? I'm using Ubuntu 9.04 Desktop Beta (from Mar/29) on a Dell Mini 9 (Dell 5530). -- Network Manager detects but cannot connect with Dell 5530 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/299274 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
